Day by day, the choices we make are influenced by graphic images that bombard us, from tv and internet

to billboards and movie posters. We have been programmed to react in certain ways to certain images.

Most prevalent of all, are images of violence.

With Today Marks the Beginning, the young ladies

For my peace project I was very anxious to make something out of materials found around the house. I chose to use broken up CDS, paint, fake flowers, plastic butterflies, a butterfly from an old belt, etc. I chose to make this specific image because I wanted peace to be the main focus so I created doves as a sign of peace to be my main focus. The dove is my main focus as so is the words, if you were to take each letter that is missing in the quote you will see that it spells peace. I have leaned that you can make peace by simply creating art and taking it out into the community.
