Day by day, the choices we make are influenced by graphic images that bombard us, from tv and internet

to billboards and movie posters. We have been programmed to react in certain ways to certain images.

Most prevalent of all, are images of violence.

With Today Marks the Beginning, the young ladies

to give a new spin on INFLUENCE in a positive way.

The materials that I used for my project were pebbles, glitter, plastic flowers, confetti, paint, cardboard, paper, and pipes cleaners. The type of image I wanted to create was that joy can give people peace and that beautiful things can to. I chose this image because all of these things that I made is beautiful to me and I also believe that this means peace. I learned from this that peace can mean a lot but the true meaning is what you believe in.
