Day by day, the choices we make are influenced by graphic images that bombard us, from tv and internet

to billboards and movie posters. We have been programmed to react in certain ways to certain images.

Most prevalent of all, are images of violence.

With Today Marks the Beginning, the young ladies

of Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women's Leadership School step out into the community

to give a new spin on INFLUENCE in a positive way.

I want my blog post to say peace all over the world. I drew a peace sign with the word above make peace. I used markers, pencils, colorful rocks, and glue. I chose this image so people would understand what we did. I think this will influence people to go and do something good in the world. I found this experince inspirational. I learned that not everyone has peace in their life. I will take with me everything I've learned.
